Vacheron Sancerre Rose 2023 750 ML
A combination of direct-press and saignée Pinot Noir, from a 50/50 mix of flint and limestone soils. Fresh and silky, but with substantial concentration, with notes of pale strawberry, salt, and lime.
Vacheron has long been one of Sancerre’s greatest producers, and also one its most forward-looking: they were one of the first in the region to convert to biodynamics (2005), and to produce site-specific cuvées (beginning with Belle Dame in 1995) that show the Vacheron cousins’ deep love of Burgundy and its parcellaire traditions.
