Tequila Ocho was founded in 2008 by fifth-generation agave farmer and third-generation tequilero Carlos Camarena, and famed tequila ambassador Tomas Estes, the man responsible for bringing tequila culture to Europe. Inspired by the heritage and process surrounding fine wine, their shared mission was to prove that terroir exists in tequila by creating a spirit that reflects the pure character of blue Weber agave and the land in which it grows. Ocho became the world's first single-estate tequila, crafted using traditional, sustainable methods and made only with agave, water, and natural airborne yeast. Today, Ocho continues its terroir-driven philosophy through both Single Estate vintages and Terroir Select vintages, which explores regional identity on a broader scale. Every bottle showcases a unique expression of terroir throughout Los Altos, or the Highlands, allowing the soil, climate, and growing conditions to shine clearly in every sip.
