Produced by the Cave Anne de Joyeuse (established in 1929), it's a delicious 100% Pinot Noir from the Pays d'Oc appellation in Limoux, southern France. The vineyards slope up the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains and at those higher elevations keep the sun exposed vines cool enough to retain acidity and not get over-ripe or sun-baked. Fresh aromas of red cherry and strawberry on the nose and a surprisingly deep weight on the palate are balanced wonderfully by that vibrant acidity.
