Paul Launois Grand Cru Le Mesnil Sur Oger Blanc de Blancs Champagne 750 ML
#1702 is 100% Chardonnay from Haut d'Aillerand Single Vineyard in Le Mesnil Sur Oger, aged 11 months in a single Blond Toast Tonnellerie Artisanale de Champagne barrel. #1702 was bottled July 2018 with a 3g dosage added November 13, 2023.
2017 VINTAGE NOTES: The hot and dry summer 2017 forced the vines to seek water deep into the chalk. This hydric stress ended in August and the early harvest allowed us to maintain a nice acidity in our wine. What makes our "Single Barrel 1702" unique is the balance between the well-integrated smokiness of the light toast, the salinity of the terroir and the fruits of this early harvest.
