The oldest tequila Patron has ever released, Patron Extra Anejo 7 Anos was largely discovered by accident. During a survey of the aging room at the Patron distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, thirty barrels of tequila were found tucked away. The used French oak barrels, it was learned, had been mistakenly placed in an area usually reserved for old and empty barrels. There they sat, undisturbed, for seven years. To commemorate the exclusivity of this extremely rare tequila, Patron Extra Anejo 7 Anos is presented in a replica of the very first hand-blown glass Patron bottle. The bottle is finished with the original Patron glass stopper, a further nod to the historical and very special nature of this limited edition.
