Michele Chiarlo Gavi Le Marne DOCG 2023 750ML

Gavi le Marne is entirely cortese, grown on clay-marl hillsides between the Ligurian Sea and the Apennine Mountains, taking advantage of both unique climates. Timely rains in mid May, mid June, and late June provided some much needed moisture ahead of another prolonged, hot, and dry summer, before significant rainfall towards the end of August rescued the vintage. The result is a refreshing, elegant white with bright florals and almonds. On the palate, it is light footed, leesy, with bread dough, orange, and guava. It finishes savoury and lean. Spaghetti vongole is the perfect match.                                                                               Grape: Cortese
