Lucia "Lucy" Santa Lucia Highlands Rosé of Pinot Noir 2025 750 ML
WINEMAKING: Combining the use of whole cluster pressing with saignée of Pinot Noir allows us to create a more complex wine. This combination brings the light, crisp, and elegant character with minimal phenolics from gentle whole-cluster pressing and slightly more fullness from the saignée barrels. The Lucy Rosé is fermented then aged for only three months to retain the most fresh characteristics. We utilize barrels of at least a decade in age so they are truly “neutral.” This heightens the texture while minimizing the flavor impact of the oak.
TASTING NOTES: The 2025 Lucy Rosé of Pinot Noir is a bottle alive with vibrance and energy. Cool weather from summer through harvest maintained bright acidity. The wine’s character is foreshadowed with the pale salmon color. Aromatics are lively—emitting from the glass are notes of strawberries, grapefruit, hibiscus, and Monterey Bay sea breeze. The palate builds with rose petal, summer berries, and cantaloupe. 2025 was a particularly late year for sugar development on the vine, which allowed for slow and delicate ripeness. The Lucy Rosé of Pinot Noir was fermented and aged in neutral barrels that bring an attractive texture while maintaining a crisp and dry finish. The complexity and acidity bring this rosé to pair with many different foods and situations from casual to formal. Enjoy!
