Kendric Vineyards Petaluma Gap Chardonnay 2022 750ml
This is a vintage with nice "cut" -- about where I'm aiming. Lemon, chalk and saline minerality.
Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter, 95 pts. 12.31.25
"Such a dynamic Chardonnay from Kendric Vineyards, sourced from their site in the Petaluma Gap of Marin County. It delivers a barrage of lemon—peel, rind and curd—alongside sweet baking spices, candied ginger, anise and candied fennel, all lifted by remarkable salinity and a sea-spray mineral aroma that carries through on the palate. It shows tremendous balance, poise and tension. There is a rich, creamy, medium-weight palate, yet it remains focused, with zesty acidity and spicy ginger, more brown baking spices on the bright finish, a sleek lemon-oil character, and a pop of beeswax. Just fantastic."
Alder Yarrow, Vinography, 10.25.25
"Pale yellow-gold in the glass, this wine smells of candied lemon peel, lemon curd, and yellow herbs. In the mouth, bright, juicy lemon peel and lemon curd flavors mix with a hint of yellow herbs and faintly salty pastry dough. Score: between 8.5 and 9."
