Product image 1

Corte Vetusto Ensamble II Mezcal Artesanal 750ml

Using an artisan method of production, a conical earth oven cooks the trio of agave used (Madrecuixe, Cuixe and Coyote) until it is ready to be milled by volcanic stone before natural fermentation can take place. Ensamble is distilled to proof (43% ABV) in a 250L copper still, before second distillation occurs in an ancestral 70L clay pot still. Corte Vetusto Ensamble is unaged, or Joven, in Mexican.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Vanilla, mint leaf, rich wood smoke and sweet agave all present themselves with distinction.

Palate: Sharp, salty olives blend with the smokey tones and lead to spicy black pepper and sweet caramel.

Finish: A creamy feel, with floral and earthy notes and fresh, crisp citrus fruits make a deeply complex finish. Really very cool stuff.
