Albino Rocca 'Angelo' Barbaresco 2018 750 ML

“Angelo” is a special Barbaresco to our family, one in which we have dedicated in memory to our father Angelo. We first started to produce this wine in 2013 with the assembly of grapes produced in the many Nebbiolo vineyards cultivated in Barbaresco and San Rocco Seno d’Elvio. The vinification happens in a vertical oak fermenter, and will undergo an extended maceration with a submerged cap for a futher 50 days. This process will generate a traditional, rich and pleasant wine.

AG94
The 2018 Barbaresco Angelo is a blend taken from Ronchi, Ovello and Montersino that sees about 40 days on the skins, with submerged cap fermentation. Effusive and heady, the 2018 offers up beguiling aromatics and striking inner sweetness, all in an mid-weight style that is quite appealing. The 2018 is a bit nervy, but a few years in the cellar should do the trick.

Exposure: from South-East to South- West

Soil: mainly marly, with presence of limestone, clay and sand

Grape Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
